Herb Roasted Chicken

To prepare this delicious Herb Roasted Chicken, follow these steps:


Start by gathering all the necessary ingredients and preheating the oven to the correct temperature.


Ingredients:


1 whole chicken

1 lemon

1 onion, julienned

1 garlic bulb, halved

Herb salt

Olive oil

Fresh rosemary


Instructions:


1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Season the chicken generously with herb salt and olive oil, making sure to cover the entire surface, rub it in to coat evenly.

3. Stuff the cavity of the chicken with fresh rosemary sprigs and lemon halves.

4. Place the julienned onions and halved garlic bulb in a roasting pan to create a bed for the chicken.

5. Put the seasoned chicken on top of the bed of onions and garlic in the roasting pan. Truss chicken if desired.

6. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.

7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before carving.

8. Serve the herb-roasted chicken with the caramelized onions and roasted garlic from the pan as a flavorful accompaniment.
